About the event
Step into Adele’s warm and welcoming kitchen and discover the secrets of traditional Italian pasta making, just as she learned from her beloved Mamma. In this hands-on, intimate workshop, Adele will guide you through every step of making silky fresh egg pasta dough from scratch and shaping it into beautiful tagliatelle, ravioli, and tortellini.
You’ll begin by learning how to mix, knead and roll the dough, followed by shaping and filling your pasta with a classic spinach and ricotta filling (other fillings available on request). Adele shares her best tips and techniques to ensure light, delicious pasta every time – no experience required!
You’ll learn how to cook pasta to perfection, and how to store fresh pasta if you're preparing ahead.
Once the pasta is made, the class will prepare a seasonal sauce – often a fragrant brown butter with sage and Parmesan shavings – to complement the fresh pasta. The exact sauce will vary depending on seasonal produce and dietary preferences.
The workshop is a relaxed and fun experience, with a combination of individual tasks, small group work, and demonstrations. At the end of the session, everyone will sit down together to enjoy the delicious results.
Whether you're a total beginner or an enthusiastic home cook, this class offers a memorable and authentic taste of Italian food culture. You’ll leave with newfound skills, full bellies, and plenty of inspiration to recreate pasta at home.
